研究：容易暴怒嗎？可能與寄生蟲有關 @ 熊雪青的部落格

你是否一開車就變了一個人，是名「路怒症」(road rage)患者呢？探索新聞網(Discovery News)23日報導，根據一項最新研究，比起沒有類似火暴行為者，經常衝動暴怒的人感染一種常見寄生蟲的比例要高出2倍以上。

研究指出，感染住血原蟲病(toxoplasmosis，或稱弓漿蟲病)可能會導致患者侵略性增加，並與部分人產生心理疾病有關。

研究作者、美國芝加哥大學(University of Chicago)的柯卡羅(Emil Coccaro)在一份新聞稿中表示，「我們的研究指出，體內有弓漿蟲(Toxoplasma gondii)潛伏，可能會使腦內化學環境發生改變，提高侵略風險。」「但我們還不確定這是否是因果關係，也不是所有被測出弓漿蟲陽性的人都有侵略問題。」柯卡羅說，還需要進一步研究才能確定。

不過研究者確實發現，比起健康者，容易因小小挑釁就理智斷線，以及對壓力反應過度的「間歇性爆發性障礙(intermittent explosive disorder)」患者，感染弓漿蟲的比例要超出兩倍。此外，弓漿蟲檢測呈陽性的受試者，憤怒與侵略情緒的檢測分數也明顯較高。

據信全人類有30%是弓漿蟲帶原者，但多數人沒有症狀。這項研究已刊登在「臨床精神醫學期刊」(Journal of Clinical Psychiatry)上。
